Day 2 – Lower body massacre!

Well, my arms are sore. That’s a good sign right? I tried to get my water bottle for work out of the fridge and it felt strenuous. I guess ‘no pain, no gain.’ So off I went, I woke up at 5:30 am to get to the gym for 6am. When I got to the gym it was so dead! There were maybe a handful of people. Good news for me! No awkward teenage love affairs or sitting around for machines! Best thing about the gym is seeing the seniors pumping iron and doing their morning cardio and chit chatting. It was actually quite motivating. So this workout really focuses on the SQUAT! If you haven’t done more than 15 in a single workout be prepared. I did 4 versions of the squat. I did sumo, regular, goblet and narrow. Never did the goblet style so I quickly youtube’d it!

PROS
– again very challenging
– ab workout was challenging
– no cardio, but I still burned 200+ calories
– my legs felt like jello after and I tried to walk down the stairs
– took me around 40 minutes

CONS
– nothing to really complain about except the 25 lbs goblet squat at the end of my workout really pushed my limits
– stayed on my meal plan so far! It’s 2:00pm right now! So far so good!

Meal plan today consisted of:

Breakfast: Chocolate Isagenix Isalean Pro shake mixed with water and ice cubes

Snack: 7 almonds and 1/2 cup Greek yoghurt

Lunch: Spinach salad with a can of tuna and some Thousand Island dressing from Walden Farms

Snack; protein shake with half banana and PB2 powdered peanut butter

Dinner: Turkey burger on a bed of lettuce

Easy-peasy right? Honestly, it’s tough not nibbling outside of these 6 little meals but I’m really trying hard!

Thank gosh for rest day tomorrow!!!

I will be posting my before picture tonight to expose myself to the world to really see if this program does change my body!
